Evolving beyond Money, Markets, and Ownership toward Abundance, Cooperation, and Aligned Incentives

Our Moment

From the Communist Manifesto to the many Capitalist Manifestos, humanity has long declared its visions in writing. But for too long we have been trapped in false dualisms — left vs. right, communism vs. capitalism — as if those were the only choices. Now it is time to break out of that binary and declare something new: a Post-Monetary Manifesto. A declaration not of ideology, but of a paradigm shift — beyond Money, Markets, and Ownership (MMO), toward Abundance, Cooperation, and Aligned Incentives (ACAI).

We live in a time of converging crises: ecological breakdown, widening inequality, war, and collapsing trust in our institutions. At the root of them all lies MMO, which lock us into the dynamics of SCIM — Scarcity, Competition, Incentive Misalignment. This is the operating system behind war, climate collapse, and exploitation.

For too long, humanity has been trapped in false dualisms — communism vs. capitalism, left vs. right — as if these were the only possible coordinates of history. But these binaries are cages too. Breaking out of them opens space for something new: a post-monetary paradigm.

Humanity now faces the JPEG Implosion — Jobs, Population, and Economic Growth collapsing together. The old model cannot be stretched any further. The future will not be a bigger version of the past.

We need more than reform. We need a new human operating system.

Our Vision

The Post-Monetary Alliance is a living network of visionary writers, thinkers, storytellers, filmmakers, podcasters, content creators, artists, influencers, activists and communities everywhere who believe it is time to evolve beyond MMO.

We imagine and blueprint a world organized by ACAI — Abundance, Cooperation, and Aligned Incentives:

• 🌱 Abundance: Humanity already has the knowledge and capacity to provide for all within planetary boundaries.

• 🤝 Cooperation: Human creativity thrives when shared, not hoarded.

• 🔄 Aligned Incentives: Systems must reward stewardship, contribution, and care — not extraction and domination.

This is not utopian fantasy. It is a practical necessity for humanity to survive and thrive in the 21st century.

Nor is this another ideology within the old binary. It is a paradigm shift beyond the tired left/right divide, pointing toward systems that dissolve scarcity at the root.

Our Principles

1. Abundance over Scarcity – ACAI instead of SCIM.

2. Equity over Inequality – Access, not accumulation, as the foundation of justice.

3. Cooperation over Competition – Shared strength through solidarity.

4. Alignment over Misalignment – Incentives that nurture, not destroy.

5. Transition in Action – From mutual aid to degrowth, from commons to resource-based design, we honor all pathways that dissolve MMO.

The Alliance

• The Alliance is not centralized. Each voice, each Substack, each community remains autonomous.

• What unites us is a shared flag — the commitment to a post-monetary future — and a mycelial web of amplification.
